Dimmen has been one of Maine’s top defensemen the past few years. He earned a spot on the 2010 Hockey East Second Team. He has seen action in 106 career games for Maine, having scored 20 goals and added 31 assists for 51 points. Dimmen notched 12 goals and 18 assists last season for 30 points. His 12 goals were one shy of tying the Maine scored record for goals in a season by a defenseman. He ranked 11th in the nation in points per game by a defenseman. He had a five-game goal scoring streak and a 10-game point streak during the season. Dimmen earned the 2010 Shawn Walsh Defensive Player of the Year award at the annual team banquet, named in honor of the late Maine head coach.
